He married his wife Emily in 2022 and plans weddings alongside his couples partly because he planned his own, and the two of them record a weekly wedding-planning podcast together.

Laid back, with the staged poses left out: his reasoning is that the best photographs anyone already has were taken by a partner or a close friend, so the way to get good ones is to be comfortable with each other first.
