Carly has been photographing South Australian weddings since 2004 and counts more than 550 of them. She works from Brighton, on Adelaide’s southern beaches, and the portfolio runs from the jetty ruins at Port Willunga to a garden house in the Inglewood hills and the rotunda at the Botanic Gardens. Three wedding collections are published with their prices, which is rarer in this trade than it should be.

She describes her work as natural, candid and deeply personal, and her manner on the day as calm and relaxed. Her own line is that she moves quietly through a wedding noticing everything, stepping in gently when direction helps and staying out of the way when it does not, so the day feels like a celebration rather than a shoot.
