Wild Wattle Photography is Kirrilly Cable, a Newcastle wedding photographer covering Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and Port Stephens. She is a mother of two and writes about photography as a way of returning to how something felt rather than only how it looked, and she takes a limited number of weddings each year.
Relaxed and emotion-led in her own words, with posing kept to a minimum. She describes guiding gently when it is needed and stepping back when it matters most, so couples are not asked to perform. She works with natural light and aims for images that feel genuine and timeless rather than staged.
Couples marrying between Newcastle, the Hunter Valley vineyards and the Port Stephens coast who want the photography handled quietly in the background. Several of her published couples say the relief was not having to think about it on the day.
Wedding collections begin at $3,600, with the full collection guide sent on enquiry. Photographs are edited and delivered in a private online gallery within three to four weeks, and handmade fine-art albums are available through a partner company. A non-refundable deposit secures a date, and she likes to meet couples over coffee before booking. She is reached at hello@wildwattle.com.au.
She caps her wedding numbers each year rather than filling the calendar, which is the reason she gives for being contactable through the whole planning period.
