Ben and Hope are a husband-and-wife wedding photography team based on the Gold Coast, serving Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and Maleny alongside their home region. Between them they count more than 600 weddings across 17 years and five continents, and they work with three young daughters at home, which is partly why meetings are held online by default. They also shoot wedding film, with a dedicated lead videographer, so a couple who wants both books one team.

Style & Approach

They describe a mix of gentle directing and a hands-off approach — sitting back to capture the day as it unfolds naturally and catching the laughs, tears and little looks that get missed when a day is overproduced, then stepping in to guide when a shot needs it. They will look at a Pinterest board but will not work through a pose-by-pose shot list. Couples are told plainly that they aim to be honest about lighting, timelines and weather, and to find solutions when conditions are against them.
