Cloud Catcher Studio is a Brisbane team of full-time wedding photographers and videographers, formed in 2016 by a group of friends who had been shooting weddings well before that. More than 650 weddings on, the promise is still the same one: photography for the non-posers, capturing the big moments and the little in-betweens exactly as they unfold, without making it weird.

Style & Approach

Natural, candid and relaxed, with a documentary eye for the guests as well as the couple. Portraits are kept quick and fun rather than a long photoshoot away from the party, using a portrait system adapted to each couple’s nerves and sense of humour. One reviewer put the appeal well: the team captures the essence of each day rather than imprinting the same style on every photo.

Standout Feature

The planning is the product as much as the photographs. Booking opens a couples-only planning site with sample timelines and supplier lists, a run sheet is built for the day, suppliers are contacted and wet-weather backups are agreed in studio meetings — most of it happening without the couple noticing. Custom 10 x 10 inch lay-flat albums with foil-embossed titles are designed with you afterwards.

Wedding Album. Description: A custom-designed 10 x 10 inch square album of 60 pages with lay-flat binding, thick matte paper, archival inks that will not fade, a leather or linen hardcover and a foil-embossed title.
