Overview & Vibe

Rach Martin has photographed weddings for over a decade, working from a base in Northern New South Wales with a second team in Queensland. Between them they cover the New England tablelands and the NSW north coast on one side of the border and the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and the Gold Coast on the other. She takes a limited number of weddings each season so that every couple gets real attention, and she handles the planning and logistics herself so the photography side of the day runs without the couple managing it.

Style & Approach

The work is candid and documentary in feel, edited in a natural and timeless way rather than to a heavy look. She keeps posing light, steering the formal portraits enough to flatter while letting the rest of the day unfold on its own. Galleries run to a mix of colour and black and white, roughly nine parts colour to one, chosen wherever the frame is stronger for it. Coverage spans full wedding days, two-hour elopements, engagement sessions and family work.

Couples marrying on rural properties, farms and country halls around Inverell, Armidale and Glen Innes, and couples on the Sunshine Coast hinterland and its beaches. The elopement collection suits small celebrations of around fifteen guests. Because the team spans two states, it also suits couples whose wedding sits somewhere between the two regions.

The Need-to-Knows

Collections run from two-hour elopement coverage up to full-day packages, with extra hours, a second photographer, drone coverage and albums available on top. All rates include GST. Booking takes a signed contract and a twenty per cent deposit. Galleries arrive within four to twelve weeks depending on the season, with a preview gallery inside seven days. Travel is included across the New England region and across the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast; a fee applies further out and anywhere else is quoted individually.

Images arrive with no watermark and no print restrictions, in both full and low resolution, through a private gallery that also works as a phone app. The whole guest list can be given access and take their own copies from anywhere, and the gallery links straight to a print lab for albums and wall art.

Albums & Prints

Surprise Album. Price: $1,300. Description: A 10 by 10 inch square album of 15 spreads across 30 pages, with the design and cover chosen by the photographer so the finished album is a surprise.
Custom albums, prints and wall art. Price: Quoted individually. Description: Ordered through the online store after the wedding, or later through the gallery's print lab with no time limit on when an album can be ordered.

Deluxe Collection. Price: $3,550. Description: Adds the morning preparations for both partners to the Premium coverage, running through to the end of the portrait session. Around 700 edited images with one photographer.
Signature Collection. Price: $3,550. Description: Runs from the ceremony through to the first dance, covering arrivals, setup and details, group photos, bridal party portraits and the reception formalities, for couples who do not want the morning preparations photographed.
Ultimate Collection. Price: $4,400. Description: The full day, from the morning preparations through to the dance floor, taking in every stage of the ceremony, portraits and reception.
Elopement Collection. Price: $2,000. Description: A two-hour collection covering pre-ceremony arrivals and details, the ceremony and a portrait session for the couple, with 200 to 400 edited images.

On the Queensland side travel is included across the Sunshine Coast regions, the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
Weddings elsewhere in Australia or overseas are quoted individually, and the photographer offers a discount where the location is one she has been hoping to shoot.

Turnaround Time

Galleries are ready between four and twelve weeks after the wedding, with the shorter end in the quieter months.
A preview gallery arrives within seven days of the wedding.
