The Edinburgh Hotel & Cellars
About
Overview & Vibe
The Ed is Mitcham's heritage-listed treasure — a foothills hotel ten minutes from the CBD whose gardens, glass pavilion and Victorian rooms have hosted generations of Adelaide celebrations under the plane trees.
Setting & Style
Ceremonies take the private garden with French wicker chairs and a flower-wall frame, or the sun-lit Pavilion overlooking the hotel garden — with a fairy-lit garden marquee for receptions under the stars. Four function rooms scale from the 20-seat Private Dining Room through the High Street and Victorian Rooms to garden gatherings of 200, every wedding personally designed by the functions team.
Ideal For
Couples wanting boutique pub-heritage charm — gardens, glasshouse light and honest hospitality without big-venue formality.
The Need-to-Knows
- Four function rooms for 10–150 guests seated or cocktail; The Ed Garden reserves for groups of 20–200.
- Private garden ceremonies with wicker chairs, signing table and flower wall; Pavilion and marquee wet-weather options.
- Boutique weddings personally designed; wedding package via the functions team.
- 1-7 High Street, Mitcham — ample free parking, ten minutes from the CBD.
Standout Feature
The fairy-lit garden marquee — dinner and dancing under the foothills sky in a genuine heritage pub garden.
