Wedding Florists · Canberra, Australian Capital Territory
Urban Jungle is a Canberra florist with a shop in the O’Connor shops, and weddings sit alongside a busy daily flower run rather than replacing it. The team describes weddings as one of its biggest passions and says it has delivered hundreds of wedding floral arrangements across Canberra, no two the same. The look is garden-inspired and hand-tied, built each morning from seasonal blooms sourced locally where possible, and the promise on the day is a calm one.
Design runs to soft romantic styling with textural foliage, gentle colour palettes and natural movement, and the team works with the season rather than against it. Named blooms include roses in a range of varieties and colours, peonies, tulips, orchids, dahlias and lilacs, with blousy garden roses and fragrant stocks in the warmer months. Dried and everlasting arrangements are offered for couples who want flowers that outlast the day.
Couples who want one florist for the whole day, from bridal and bridesmaid bouquets and buttonholes through to ceremony arbours, reception tables, hanging installations and cake flowers. The team works comfortably with wedding planners and stylists and knows most Canberra venues, so it suits a city wedding at NewActon, Kingston Foreshore or Yarralumla as readily as a country one at Murrumbateman. Elopements and long-lead bookings are both welcome.
Planning starts with a one-hour consultation, in person or online, at $90, and that fee comes off the final invoice if the couple books. Enquiries go through the wedding enquiry form and the team comes back with a time. A date is held with a $250 deposit applied to the final invoice, and weddings are confirmed on a 20% deposit. Florals are quoted individually after the consultation. Spring and autumn fill first. The shop opens Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm and Saturday 9:30am to 4:00pm.
The consultation fee is refundable in effect: pay $90 for an hour of planning, and if you book, the $90 comes back off the final bill. It lets a couple sit down properly with a florist and test the fit before committing anything, and it means the hour is genuinely theirs. Props and styling pieces are also available on hire alongside the flowers, so ceremony and reception looks can be built from one supplier.
