About

Overview & Vibe

Lime Tree Bower started in Helen’s apartment, moved to a warehouse, and is now a shop and studio on Sailors Bay Road in Northbridge with a team behind it. Since 2014 it has flowered more than 530 weddings, and it is one of the few Sydney studios that will tell you its floor before you enquire. The wedding book is open for 2026 and 2027.

Style & Signature Blooms

Modern and texture-rich - the studio’s own description of the look is plucked from the garden, and it gets there by mixing rather than choosing: native blooms beside seasonal and premium ones in the same design. Expect waratah, kangaroo paw, banksia, flannel flower and wattle sitting with dahlias, ranunculus, peonies, anemones and garden roses, depending on the month you marry in.

Ideal For

Two quite different couples. If you are planning a full-service wedding with ceremony and reception installations, this is a studio that builds ceiling features, freestanding structures, doorway and pole work, and cultural ceremony pieces including chuppahs, mandaps and Asian tea ceremonies. If you are eloping or marrying at a registry, there is a separate, smaller service for bouquets, buttonholes, crowns and a single feature - no minimum attached.

The Need-to-Knows

Full-service weddings start at $6,000, and the studio publishes that openly rather than leaving you to discover it in a quote. The process runs enquiry, then a tailored range estimate, then a detailed proposal with itemised pricing and venue-specific logistics; a deposit secures the date. They coordinate bump-in and bump-out with your venue and handle delivery, installation and pack-down. Everyday shop hours are short - 9am to 2pm, Monday to Saturday.

Standout Feature

The seasonal guide. The studio publishes a month-by-month table of what is actually available in Sydney across all four seasons, plus a native flower table with best seasons for waratah, kangaroo paw, banksia, flannel flower and wattle. It is the most useful thing a florist can give a couple choosing a date, and it is free to read.

Appointment Policy

  • Step one is an enquiry: share your venue, guest count and the floral moments you want - personal flowers, ceremony, reception or installations.
  • The studio replies if it still has your date free, and asks for a few more details.
  • Step two is a tailored range estimate, then a detailed design proposal with itemised pricing, floral recommendations and logistics guidance for your venue.
  • Step three is a deposit, which secures the date; the studio then sources the blooms and coordinates the day with your venue.
  • Nothing is sold as a fixed package - each design is built for the individual wedding.
  • The wedding book is open for 2026 and 2027.
  • The Northbridge shop is open 9am to 2pm Monday to Saturday, and closed on public holidays.

Areas Serviced

  • Sydney – the shop and studio are in Northbridge on the lower north shore, and the studio works across the city.
  • Lower North Shore, Northern Beaches and Eastern Suburbs – named individually as areas the wedding service covers.
  • Blue Mountains – part of the studio's regular reach; it travels there for weddings.
  • Southern Highlands – part of the studio's regular reach; it travels there for weddings.
  • Central Coast – listed among the areas the wedding service covers.
  • Destination and multi-day weddings – offered as a named service, so further travel is worth asking about.

Delivery & Setup

  • For weddings the studio handles delivery, installation and pack-down, and coordinates bump-in and bump-out times directly with your venue.
  • Your proposal includes logistics guidance written for your specific venue.
  • For the smaller wedding service, delivery runs across Sydney with light setup available where it is needed.
  • Everyday shop deliveries are free to Northbridge.
  • Nearby suburbs start from $10, and greater Sydney suburbs further out start from $40.
  • Priority delivery before midday is an extra $32, in selected suburbs.
  • Same-day delivery runs on shop orders placed before 12.30pm; after that it is next day.
  • Deliveries generally run between 9am and 6pm, and the shop is closed on public holidays.

Nearby Landmarks

  • Northbridge – the lower north shore suburb where the shop sits, on Sailors Bay Road.
  • Chatswood, Neutral Bay and North Sydney – the neighbouring centres the studio names as its immediate area.
  • Sydney Harbour and the lower north shore – the studio's home ground, a short run from the shop.

  • Centennial Park – with the Centennial Homestead, another venue in the studio's own portfolio.

Price Notes

  • Full-service weddings start at $6,000, and the studio explains why: the figure covers a considered design process, experienced installation support on the day, and the logistics behind a large floral set-up.
  • That floor applies to full-service work only - the smaller service for elopements, registry ceremonies, micro weddings and engagements carries no minimum.
  • Itemised pricing arrives with the design proposal, after a tailored range estimate.
  • For the everyday shop, the studio publishes its own price band as roughly $90 to $500, which is a fair guide to a gift bouquet rather than a wedding.
  • The studio's own budget advice is to lean on seasonal blooms, mix premium flowers with more affordable seasonal ones, combine large focal flowers with smaller filler textures, and choose designs that let ceremony pieces be reused at the reception.
  • Flowers are substituted to match colour and texture when a variety is unavailable, and the studio notes that changing weather patterns mean a variety may not be in season at the same time every year.
