About

Overview & Vibe

ARRCH Floral Design is Bec, who has spent over a decade in floristry across retail, weddings and events — Sydney, then Darwin, before settling on a studio at Googong and designing weddings across Canberra and the district. The name is an acronym of her family’s initials, which she only later noticed also spelled the most timeless shape at a wedding.

Style & Signature Blooms

Her own description is “full, textured, modern-romantic garden-style florals — soft movement, layered blooms, nothing stiff or overworked.” In the work that means garden roses and lisianthus layered with cymbidium and phalaenopsis orchids, dahlias and delphinium, and a real willingness to use natives — protea, banksia and wattle turn up in bridal bouquets alongside the roses.

Ideal For

A couple who wants to know the number before they make contact. It also suits anyone marrying at a Gundaroo or Canberra-district property: much of the published work is at rural venues, from wine-barrel arrangements to ceremony arches built on site.

The Need-to-Knows

Four budget tiers are published in full, with what each one buys. Under $2,000 is elopements and micro weddings; $2,000–$5,000 is “where most full weddings begin”; $5,000–$8,000 adds a feature at both ceremony and reception; $8,000–$15,000 is full styling with custom elements. Most full-scale weddings start from $2,500. Book 6–12 months out; a signed agreement and a non-refundable retainer secure the date, and everything is finalised 4–6 weeks before.

Standout Feature

The budget guide is the most honest pricing any florist here publishes. Its own opening line is “we know flower pricing can feel like a mystery: here’s a transparent breakdown so you can plan with confidence before you even reach out.” Every other florist that names a figure names a floor. This one tells you what $3,000 actually gets you and what it does not.

Appointment Policy

  • Start with the wedding enquiry form; a custom quote follows, tailored to your style, needs and budget.
  • Book 6 to 12 months ahead, especially for a peak-season date.
  • A signed wedding floral agreement and a non-refundable booking retainer secure the date - dates are not held without both.
  • Planning continues by email and video chat, with the quote updated as your ideas evolve.
  • Everything is finalised 4 to 6 weeks before the wedding, including flower choices, the invoice and the ordering of vases and ribbons.
  • Changes to the quote are welcome, within reason, up until that final confirmation date.
  • The studio will work alongside your stylist or planner.

Areas Serviced

  • Canberra and the wider Canberra district - the studio is at Googong, just outside the ACT border.
  • Murrumbateman - named on every page as part of the region it services.
  • Gundaroo and Braidwood - also named; much of the published work is at Gundaroo properties.
  • Regional New South Wales beyond the district - considered for the right wedding.

Delivery & Setup

  • Delivery, on-site setup and pack-down are all handled by the studio.
  • Ceremony flowers can be moved into the reception afterwards, which many couples do to get more from the same arrangements.
  • Moving those pieces carries a labour cost if the studio does it, and works best with versatile pieces rather than large installations.
  • The team arrives early on the day to deliver the wedding party's flowers and set the ceremony and reception spaces.
  • A bump-out is available after the party, with waste handled responsibly.
  • A weather contingency plan is agreed at the final planning stage for any outdoor installation.

Price Notes

  • Four budget tiers are published with what each one covers, so you can plan before you enquire.
  • Most full-scale weddings start from $2,500; the smallest tier starts under $2,000.
  • The booking retainer is non-refundable - it covers the planning and administrative time already spent.
  • Flower prices move daily, so the studio confirms availability and cost with its growers during planning.
  • Repurposing ceremony flowers into the reception stretches the same budget further, though a labour cost applies if the studio moves them.
  • Choosing seasonal blooms is how the studio suggests getting more for the same spend.

Wedding Flower Packages

  • Sweet and Simple. Price: Under $2,000. Description: the smallest offering, suited to elopements, micro weddings or a few key floral moments. It typically covers a bridal bouquet, a few bridesmaid bouquets and buttonholes for the groom and groomsmen, with room to add corsages for parents. Alternatively it can stretch to a bouquet and buttonholes plus one ceremony or reception feature, such as a styled signing table or a ceremony backdrop.
  • Balanced and Beautiful. Price: $2,000 - $5,000. Description: where most full weddings begin. It comfortably covers all personal flowers - bouquets, buttonholes and corsages - and then either smaller arrangements or bud vases on each reception table, or one standout moment such as a floral arch at the ceremony or a hanging foliage installation at the reception. With a small bridal party it can cover both.
  • Florals with Impact. Price: $5,000 - $8,000. Description: all personal flowers plus a feature floral element at both the ceremony and the reception, with room for smaller table arrangements or bud vases paired with candles. Alternatively it funds one major feature - a ceremony arch or a hanging installation - together with fuller, standard-sized centrepieces on guest tables. Many couples at this level repurpose ceremony florals into the reception.
  • Statement Floral Styling. Price: $8,000 - $15,000. Description: the full-service tier. It typically includes all personal flowers, a statement ceremony feature, a floral installation at the reception, and floral styling on guest tables with candles. Bespoke elements such as a larger-scale ceremony backdrop are accommodated, which may mean simplifying table florals to keep the whole design balanced.
