Cobb and Coach Farm is a 60-acre working farm at Herons Creek, fifteen minutes south of Port Macquarie, built around a rustic hardwood barn. The farm runs Brahman cattle and Australian white sheep alongside horses, a mini donkey and alpacas, and the whole property is given over to one wedding at a time. The venue's own phrase for what it sells is “just bring your dress and your guests” — the hire comes with an unusually long list of furniture, styling and decor, and a coordinator on site for the day.

Setting & Style

The ceremony is on manicured lawn, walking between two camphor laurel trees, with old bridge sleepers laid down the aisle and built into the arbour, an antique sewing machine as the signing table, and long hardwood log seating. The barn is Australian hardwood in its natural state with roughly 4-metre ceilings, wooden beams, a corrugated iron wall, an old fireplace, white seating and a glass chandelier. A 100-year-old bullock cart sits at the rear of the ceremony area for photographs, with a smaller cart used for catering. Beyond that the farm offers rustic bridges, waterholes, running creeks, tall pines and a jacaranda-lined driveway.

Ideal For

Couples who want a whole-farm rustic wedding for up to 120 and are happy to assemble the day themselves — the venue supplies the site, the furniture and the styling, and welcomes outside vendors. It suits people who want their ceremony and reception in one place, and who like the idea of cattle and horses in the background of the photographs. It is a pet friendly venue, which is rare and worth knowing.

The Need-to-Knows

Catering and drinks are not included in the venue packages — the brochure says so in capitals. The caravan bar is BYO: you buy the alcohol, their staff serve it, and they supply ice, water, tea and coffee, glassware and three bar staff. Grazing tables are priced separately at $430 for up to 15 guests, $665 for up to 30 and $1,070 for up to 60, with larger options on enquiry; everything is custom-ordered to dietary requirements. Venue hire itself is not priced on the site — the page asks you to book an appointment to discuss what the fee includes. Music is turned down at 10:30pm and finishes at 11:00pm, a hard stop. What the hire does include is substantial: the barn, the bullock cart, arbour, 100 white chairs, 10 round tables with full-length linen, three rustic bridal tables, PA system and subwoofer, three gas heaters with gas, a love lounge, wine barrels, fairy lights, dried floral arrangements, easels, a cake fridge, throws, rubbish removal and pack-down, plus set-up and set-down and a venue manager. There is a Wedding Shed for the bridal party to get ready in — one bedroom, one bathroom, furnished and air conditioned — but no guest accommodation is offered.

Standout Feature

The inclusions list. Most venues at this price point hand you a shed and a paddock; Cobb and Coach itemises around forty items in its 2025 package document, down to eight throws for guests who get cold and a fridge for the cake. It genuinely reduces what a couple has to hire in.
