Wedding Florists · Sydney, New South Wales
Fig & Bloom was founded in Melbourne in 2015 and now works from three studios of its own - Fairfield in Melbourne, Camperdown in Sydney and Bowen Hills in Brisbane - taking weddings in all three cities. Everything is made by hand in the studio for the city it is going to. The wider business is premium gift flower delivery, and the wedding side is run as its own service with a dedicated events team.
The range runs from sculptural natives through romantic pastels to refined dried work, and fresh seasonal blooms are regularly blended with dried elements. Stems come from Australian growers the studio has worked with for years, cut for the wedding date rather than held in a cool room. One of its published weddings was built from pink king proteas, red alstroemeria, blush lisianthus and eucalyptus, with eucalyptus garlands hung behind the ceremony.
Couples in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane who would rather describe a mood than choose from a list, and who want one point of contact rather than a rotating team. It suits couples who are willing to hand over a palette and let the studio buy what is best at market that week - which is also, on its own advice, how to get the most from a budget.
There are no packages and no published wedding prices; a date, a venue and a rough guest count is enough to start an enquiry. You work with one consultant from the first conversation to the morning of the wedding. Event orders carry a compulsory delivery fee set by time window - $100 for a morning or afternoon slot and $200 after 5pm - and a Sunday wedding or a late pack-down costs more because the install team is on penalty rates. If friends or family can place arrangements themselves, say so early and the design can allow for it.
The co-founder publishes unusually frank budget advice, including two things most florists keep to themselves: that a great deal of what couples now pin for inspiration is AI-generated, so the flower may not exist in that colour or at all; and that if another couple is marrying at your venue the day before, one ceremony installation can sometimes serve both weddings with the cost split between you.
