A restaurant, organic gardens and five cabins at the foot of Wollumbin / Mount Warning, in the Tweed hinterland outside Uki. The pitch is that nothing has to move: “you can do it all here – no need to rush between your accommodation, ceremony and reception venues – so you can truly be present and take it all in.” They have been running weddings since 2007.
Setting & Style
A white Queenslander farmhouse on a rise, lawns running down to a lily pond, a spreading fig, and the mountain filling the skyline behind. Dinner happens in the restaurant or along the verandah; the kitchen grows a good deal of what it serves in the gardens outside.
Ideal For
Couples who want the ceremony, the dinner and the beds on one property under a landmark mountain, and who care more about the food than the floor plan.
The Need-to-Knows
- The wedding cakes are made on site. “Our pastry experts can make your dream wedding cake for you right here onsite (so there's no need to stress about transporting it safely).” They also sell cakes for weddings held elsewhere — naked cakes, croquembouche towers, full fondant.
- Nothing is priced and no capacity is published. Packages come by enquiry form only.
- Book a site visit and they feed you. “When you make an appointment to meet with us onsite, we'll send you a gift voucher to sample some of our food and beverages while you're here.”
- Dietary requirements are catered for — gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian options, on request.
- They are open Wednesday to Sunday, which is also when you can reach them by phone.
- Five cabins on site: the Farmhouse, Secret Cabin, Snug Cabin, Log Cabin and Old Dairy.
