About

Overview & Vibe

Nikki Blades is Brisbane-based and has spent twenty years travelling to weddings — *“I’m Brissy based, but I’m available to travel to any location”* — with more than 670 weddings behind her. Her showcase is a map of the country: Great Keppel and Hayman Islands, Magnetic Island, Darwin, Katherine, Longreach, the Blue Mountains, Kiama, Perth and Yallingup. Bright, warm, sunlit frames, and a great many of them on a beach at golden hour.

Style & Approach

Candid and relaxed by intent: she aims to capture *“those candid, fun and relaxed moments between couples and their guests as the day unfolds”*, alongside the frames she calls *“THAT’s the photo I want to hang on our wall”*. She works with natural emotion and natural movement, and she is explicit that posing help is on offer if you would rather be guided than left alone.

Ideal For

Couples marrying in south-east Queensland who want a photographer with two decades of weddings behind her, and couples marrying somewhere far away who want to take their photographer with them. She works alone — one photographer, no second shooter — and takes a limited number of bookings each year, so early enquiry matters more here than most.

The Need-to-Knows

In south-east Queensland the Pearl collection is $2,495 for four hours and the Diamond $3,495 for eight, each with a pre-wedding consultation and an unlimited number of edited images delivered on USB as high-resolution, print-ready files with no logos or watermarks. A wedding album is included as a gift. A $1,000 non-refundable booking fee secures the date. Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Bribie Island carry no travel fee; other regions and interstate weddings are priced separately. Raw files are not available, and there is no video, photo booth or second photographer.

Standout Feature

The unlimited image count is unusual and it is stated plainly rather than buried: however many frames the day produces, they are all edited and all delivered. For a couple weighing quotes where one supplier promises 400 images and another 800, *“unlimited”* is a different kind of answer.

Albums & Prints

  • Wedding Album. Price: Included in every package. Description: Supplied as a gift with the collection; no discount applies if it is declined. Further album products can be added on request, at prices she does not publish.

Appointment Policy

  • Every collection includes a pre-wedding consultation. She takes a limited number of bookings each year and asks couples to enquire early, because weekend dates in peak season fill first.
