Posy Mae is Karina and Kristin, a mother-and-daughter studio in a creative hub on Woongarra Street in Bundaberg. Kristin is the florist — “specialising in wedding and event florals, her style is beautifully unstructured, delicate, and romantic” — and Karina runs everything behind it. Their friend Chantal helps in the studio, and Kristin’s dad and fiancé step in when an extra pair of hands is needed. “Posy Mae really is a family and friends affair.”

Garden-inspired and deliberately loose. Their own framing is “whimsical yet refined… unstructured, soft and romantic florals to feel natural and effortlessly elegant.” Their wedding photographs run to cosmos, chamomile, ranunculus, poppies and garden roses in cream, blush and butter, and full white ceremony work in urns. They grow some of it themselves — cosmos and stocks in spring, dahlias in summer.
