Sean Reefman is a Byron Bay wedding photographer who lives just outside the town in Northern New South Wales, and who was voted the Tweed Coast and Byron Bay region’s number one wedding photographer in 2023, 2024 and 2025. He shoots both stills and film himself, so couples who want a wedding film as well book one team rather than two, and he travels to Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast at no extra cost. Published weddings run through the Byron and Gold Coast hinterlands, from private properties and estates to Tamborine Mountain.
He describes classic and timeless memories meeting creative storytelling, and is known for marrying candid, comfortable moments with something more considered — in his own words, daring to go beyond simply documentary style photography to make frame-worthy pieces. He works as the unofficial guest who can read a room, settle bridal-party nerves and spot the light at the same time, and drone photography is part of the package rather than an extra.
Couples marrying in the Byron or Gold Coast hinterland who want one person leading both the photography and the film. He is an experienced elopement photographer of five years, with packages starting at two hours of coverage, so it suits very small weddings as readily as full days. Camera-shy couples are catered for deliberately — he says he is camera-shy himself and builds the shoot around making that easy.
Packages run from $1,850 for elopements up to $4,400 and above for full-day weddings, with videography from $2,900 and content creation from $600. Full inclusions come in a pricing guide sent by email. There is no travel fee anywhere between the Sunshine Coast and Port Macquarie, and destinations further afield are considered on request. Enquiries are answered within 24 hours.
The fine art album is a serious object: 12 by 9 inches, covered in premium embossed leather, cloth or velvet, binding 120 images across 35 spreads, flush mounted on museum quality matte paper with archival ink. Couples get up to three rounds of design revisions, matching 8-inch parent albums can be ordered alongside, and it takes four to six weeks to print and bind.
