In Love Weddings is run by Björn Schmal from a base on Tamborine Mountain, with Andy alongside him as the second shooter. The studio covers both photography and film, and either can be booked on its own or together. Ten years in the industry sit behind it, and the tone is unhurried — couples are met before the day so the approach can be fitted to them.
Relaxed and candid, aimed at timeless rather than fashionable. The published work leans on real photographic craft: styled details of shoes and rings, close work on jewellery, black and white portraits in available light, and a long exposure of a lit chapel after dark. Group portraits are handled warmly rather than stiffly — bridal parties walking, laughing, arranged in a circle overhead.
Couples marrying on Tamborine Mountain or in the Gold Coast hinterland who want one team handling both stills and film, and who like the idea of paying for exactly the hours they need. The two-hour ceremony collection makes a small or midweek wedding straightforward, and a dedicated midweek micro-wedding option exists as well.
Photography runs from $1,300 for two hours to $3,200 for ten, with 150 to 450 or more edited photographs by collection. Combined photo and film collections run $2,500 to $6,300. A $500 non-refundable deposit holds the date and the balance falls due a fortnight before. Travel within 75 kilometres of Tamborine Mountain is included; beyond that it is a dollar a kilometre.
The extras are priced individually rather than bundled, so nothing is paid for twice: a second shooter by the hour, an extra hour, a 48-hour sneak preview, a seven-day rush edit, drone coverage and an engagement shoot are each listed with their own figure.
