Kerin Burford has photographed weddings across South Australia for twenty-five years, stepped away from them in 2021 to concentrate on family and portrait work, and in 2026 returned to take a small number of micro weddings and elopements each year. She works from a converted stone studio on her property at Strathalbyn and travels the Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula.
She describes her work as natural, warm, tender and unobtrusive, and calls herself the quiet observer. Expect storytelling pictures of the day as it happens rather than long lists of set-up group shots.
Couples planning something small, country and intimate — an elopement, a short ceremony with close family, or a vow renewal — who want an experienced photographer for a few hours rather than a full day.
She is a Master Photographer with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, holds a Diploma in Commercial Photography, and has photographed more than a thousand weddings across thirty years in the trade.
