Ivory Fox Photography is Megan Whitten, who has been photographing weddings professionally since 2012 and is an accredited member of the AIPP. She works alone across Adelaide and the surrounding wine regions, and describes her own style simply as natural, authentic and romantic. She grew up in Mount Gambier, trained as an accountant first, and says the people rather than the tax returns were what she liked about it.
Her stated aim for most of the day is to be unobtrusive and let the natural interactions happen. Portrait time is the exception: there she connects with the couple and offers gentle guidance and a little direction, with the goal of genuine and honest moments rather than arranged ones. She wants the day itself to feel relaxed.
Couples marrying in Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills, the Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale who want one photographer they get to know rather than a team. Her published work leans heavily to wineries, gardens and country properties. A second photographer and an engagement session can both be added, and she also photographs newborns and lifestyle sessions outside wedding season.
Wedding photography runs from $2,900 to $3,800. Every package includes coverage and high resolution images, with albums, an engagement session and a second photographer available as options. The albums are classic flushmount books, handmade in Australia and printed on matte paper. Enquiries go through the contact form or by email; no phone number is published.
An unusually long and consistent published record: more than forty individual weddings written up one by one, from the Adelaide Botanic Gardens and Carrick Hill to Seppeltsfield, Serafino and Kangaroo Island, each with its own gallery.
