Wedding Photographers · Launceston / Tamar Valley, Tasmania
Scott and Emily are a husband-and-wife wedding photography and videography team who cover the whole of Tasmania, and who deliberately do not tie themselves to one town. They live on a little land in an 1896 homestead, twenty minutes from Cradle Mountain, and travel the state without charging for it. Between them they also run Pop Up Weddings Tasmania, and they photograph and film together at nearly every wedding rather than sending one of a pair.
They describe themselves as relaxed, candid and natural, with a heavy focus on getting to know each couple and on the connection between them. They are attentive to emotion, laughter and energy, and work from what a couple actually wants rather than a fixed formula. They shoot to get the image right in camera, so retouching is rare and deliberate, and black and white is used to carry emotion rather than as a preset.
Couples marrying anywhere in Tasmania who do not want to watch the clock, and who would rather buy coverage of the parts of the day that matter than a fixed block of hours. Their packages suit full weddings, micro weddings and elopements equally, including at Cradle Mountain, Freycinet and the historic venues around Hobart and Launceston.
Wedding photography starts at $2,950, videography at $3,500 and the two combined at $4,950. Elopement photography runs from $1,500. A twenty-five per cent deposit secures the date and is non-refundable, with the balance due a month before the wedding and interest-free payment plans available. Travel within Tasmania is included; they do not discount and do not price match.
Coverage is sold in chapters rather than hours. Getting Ready, the Ceremony and the Reception are each described and priced on their own, so a couple buys the parts of the day they want covered instead of a block that has to be squeezed to fit. In practice it averages about eight hours, and they stay until what was planned is captured.
