Jamie Lee photographs weddings from the Margaret River region and works just as often in Perth, with more than six years behind the camera and formal training in photography. Her own summary of the approach is intention, restraint and a calm, assured presence: she guides when guidance is wanted and stays out of the way when it is not. The published work runs from windswept South West coastline and karri forest to hotel suites and sandstone in the Perth CBD.
Two things woven together — timeless editorial portraits she calls the magazine-cover moments, and documentary coverage of what happens in between. Her editing is true to colour rather than trend-driven, and she is unusually direct about the machinery behind it: no AI culling, no overseas editors, every frame selected and finished by her. She is equally direct that the effortless-looking candid photograph is the one that takes the most experience to make.
Couples marrying anywhere between Perth, the Swan Valley, Dunsborough, Yallingup and Margaret River who want the same photographer for a city wedding or a weekend-long South West one. The two-hour elopement collection suits up to thirty guests with no wedding party; the eight-hour collection covers both preparations through to a good part of the reception. Couples nervous about being photographed are the stated speciality.
Wedding collections run $3,500 for four hours, $4,500 for six and $5,500 for eight, with a $1,500 two-hour elopement below them and a second photographer from $1,200. Expect roughly 100 edited images per hour. A preview gallery arrives the day after the wedding and the full gallery in six to eight weeks; elopement galleries land inside two weeks. Most couples book twelve to eighteen months ahead.
The FAQ is the most candid page of its kind in this listing set. It answers what a second photographer is actually for, why an exact image count is the wrong question, why she will not let software choose your photographs, and — bluntly — that the person you book is the person who turns up, with a warning about companies that recruit shooters at the last minute.
