Appointment Policy

• Bookings are essential — the boutique gives you its undivided attention for your visit.
• Open Thursday to Saturday 9am to 4pm, and Sunday 10am to 3pm.
• A first appointment runs an hour and a half, so you can work through the collection without rushing.
• Come back for a second appointment of an hour if you want to revisit your favourites.
• If you buy a gown, the pick-up appointment is half an hour.
• Bring up to four guests — more can be accommodated if you get in touch first.
• Wear seamless or nude underwear, and bring a strapless or backless bra.
• Bring your wedding shoes, or shoes of a similar heel height.
• Please skip makeup and fresh fake tan — it marks the gowns, and the pre-loved ones especially.
• Cancel at least 48 hours ahead so another bride can use the appointment.
• Start looking about 12 months before the wedding — gowns take 4 to 7 months to arrive.
• If you live too far away to collect, the gown is posted and the fitting done virtually.

• Karen Willis Holmes. Description: An Australian designer at the forefront of bridal since 2000, handcrafting gowns for the modern and timeless bride. $2,990 to $5,500.
• Made With Love. Description: The Australian luxury label by Carla Jenkins, known for daring V necklines, plunging low backs and French crepe. $3,000 to $5,000.
• Moira Hughes Couture. Description: Named one to watch by Vogue and a top bridal designer by Harper's Bazaar — a Sydney house built on the perfectly fitted gown. $3,990 to $5,500.
• Stella York. Description: Glamorous and extravagant, handcrafted with detailed beading and lace at a competitive price. $1,800 to $2,500.
• Erin Clare Bridal. Description: An Australian couture house founded in 2002, making high-quality gowns for real women.
• Hera Couture. Description: Carried in the boutique and on the sample rail.
• Lola Varma. Description: Carried in the boutique, with its own size chart published in store.

Dress Experience

• Homestead Road Bridal Co is run by Jo, who lives on a family property near Blackville with her husband, their daughter and a border collie.
• She spent ten years in Sydney, and started the boutique after her own search for a gown from Moree proved exhausting.
• Her aim is that brides in regional areas no longer need to travel to a capital city and decide on the spot.
• Appointments are one-on-one, and you are given the time you need for what she calls an emotional decision.
• The boutique carries a curated range of Australian and international designers, and can often request a gown in from a designer if you ask ahead.
• Its in-house seamstress Jasmine has over ten years of sewing experience and more than five specialising in wedding dresses.

• Pre-loved and sample gowns are $1,000 to $3,500, and the price is sometimes negotiable.
• Stella York runs $1,800 to $2,500 and Made With Love $3,000 to $5,000.
• Karen Willis Holmes runs $2,990 to $5,500 and Moira Hughes Couture $3,990 to $5,500.
• Pay in full, or 50% when the gown is ordered and 50% before it ships from the designer.
• A rush order costs $200 to $400 on top, and must be paid in full up front.
• Pre-loved gowns are paid in full up front and are sold first in, best dressed — they cannot be held.
• Most gowns will need altering, and that is quoted separately at your fitting.
• There are no returns; a faulty gown or garment is exchanged.

• In-House Alterations — with Jasmine, in the boutique the first weekend of every month, for any wedding dress including gowns bought elsewhere.
• Veils And Accessories — by Madame Tulle.
• Special Requests From The Designers — if you love a gown the boutique does not carry, it can often be requested in for your appointment.
• Rush Orders — available through each designer for a fee of $200 to $400.
• Gown Postage And A Virtual Pick-Up Appointment — for brides who live too far to return.
• Payment Plans — 50% deposit on order and 50% before the gown ships, or ask about other arrangements.
