Paddock Flowers is Cathy, who grows most of what she arranges. The farm is at Pappinbarra near Wauchope, and she is candid that none of it was planned: “a few years ago I’d never have guessed that today I’d be a wedding florist and grow most the flowers I use.”
Natural, seasonal and garden-inspired — soft rather than structured. Because the flowers come off her own beds the range shifts with what is up: dahlias in every shade through the warm months, amaranthus, celosia, cosmos, strawflower and snapdragon, alongside natives for the bouquets that want them.
A Hastings-region couple who wants to know where the flowers came from. She grows “from seed/bulb/tuber or plant stock” and follows organic, low-till practices and sustainable floristry, and says plainly that packaging and growing choices matter to her. It also suits anyone who wants the price up front rather than after a consultation.
Three packages are published in full, itemised and priced. Bridal Party Florals, $1,100 covers a bridal bouquet, the groom’s buttonhole, two bridesmaids’ bouquets, two groomsmen’s buttonholes, consultation, design and delivery. Elopement / Micro Wedding, $2,200 adds a ceremony feature, twenty bud vases and the installation. Flower Filled, from $3,500 is built for around eighty guests. Extra styling of your own details is charged at an hourly rate.
She is a grower first. That is rare enough on its own, but it also shows in the pricing: the packages are specific because she knows what is in the ground. And she says outright that they are a starting point — “if you have a different idea or quantity of flowers in mind, I can design a package and quote specific to you.”
