Soldiers Point Bowling Club
About
Overview & Vibe
Soldiers Point Bowling Club sits on Soldiers Point Road in Port Stephens, a community club with bowling greens, a bistro and three function spaces that scale from twenty guests to four hundred.
Setting & Style
This is a club, not a country estate, and it is refreshingly plain about what that means. Seascapes is the medium room, seating a hundred theatre-style with full bar and a proper audiovisual fit-out — cordless microphones, ceiling-mounted retractable screen, HDMI and VGA. The Auditorium is the big one, high-ceilinged with a large raised stage, and the Main Lounge extends it to seat four hundred and fifty banquet-style. The commercial terms are published rather than quoted: room hire becomes complimentary once a seated function passes a hundred guests in the Auditorium or sixty in Seascapes, and catering is a flat fifty dollars a head for two courses or sixty for three.
Ideal For
Couples who want a straightforward, well-priced Port Stephens reception with real numbers published up front, and who would rather spend the budget on the day than the venue.
The Need-to-Knows

- Room hire is complimentary for seated catering over 100 in the Auditorium or over 60 in Seascapes.
- Two courses are $50 per head, three courses $60, alternate serve.
- Under 40 guests there is an extra $20 per hour charge for the bar to be open.
- The club does not host 18th to 29th birthday celebrations — stated plainly on its own site.
Standout Feature

Price Notes
- Pricing comes from the club's 2026 Function Menu, PDF ModDate 11 February 2026 and served 4 July 2026, so it is current, and matches the terms published on the functions page. Catering is $50 per person for two courses or $60 per person for three, both alternate serve, with a customised cocktail menu starting from $50 per person. Room hire is complimentary if a seated function has over 100 guests in the Auditorium or over 60 guests in Seascapes. There is a minimum of 40 guests for the Functions Menu in Seascapes, and no minimum at all for events taking the finger food platter option; under 40 guests an additional $20 per hour applies for the bar to be open. Extras are itemised: half an hour of canapes on arrival is $12 per person and a full hour $20 per person; a cheese, crudites and dip platter or an antipasto platter, each serving approximately 10, is $100 per platter; a $50 service fee applies for the wedding cake to be cut and served on a platter to the cake table or tea and coffee station, or $6 per person for cake cut and served to guests with strawberries and cream; service meals of one course are $35 per person; and the tea and coffee station requires a minimum of 30 guests.
