Nelson Bay Golf Club
About
Overview & Vibe
Nelson Bay Golf Club sits on Dowling Street five minutes' walk from the Nelson Bay CBD and marina, its course spread through spotted gum bushland where kangaroos graze the fairways in the late afternoon.
Setting & Style
Ceremonies happen outdoors on the course, surrounded by nature, with an arbour set among the gums. The function rooms combine to take two hundred for a cocktail party or a hundred and forty seated; opened up entirely the club can hold two hundred and thirty. A smaller room opens onto the Tomaree Terrace for forty seated or sixty cocktail, with a private bar on the terrace by arrangement, and there is a secluded outdoor space for up to seventy. Parking is free in the club's own car park, guests enter through the functions entrance, and the couple get a private room for a drink before being announced.

Couples who want a bushland ceremony and a large, straightforward reception in the middle of Nelson Bay.

Price Notes
- Wedding pricing is quoted on enquiry. The club publishes a wedding booklet, but it was created and last modified on 25 July 2024 and sits in a 2024/07 upload path, making it more than two years old, so its dollar figures are not recorded here as current pricing. The structural details remain: combined function rooms hold 200 for a cocktail party or 140 for a formal sit-down, with a total club capacity of 230; a smaller room opening onto the Tomaree Terrace seats 40 or holds 60 cocktail style, and a secluded outdoor space takes up to 70. A private bar on the Tomaree Terrace can be arranged for an additional charge. Menu options run to cocktail, banquet and multi-course formats, and the club can cater to dietary requirements. Chairs are provided for up to half the guest count when a cocktail menu is booked. The venue provides white linen tablecloths and napkins, crockery and cutlery, and the wedding cake is cut and served to guests. Parking is free in the club's own car park, with porte-cochere drop-off available for elderly, pregnant or disabled guests
