Coolangatta Estate sits beneath the foothills of Mount Coolangatta on Bolong Road at Shoalhaven Heads — a village of convict-built heritage buildings surrounded by rolling vineyards and sweeping views.
The estate hires out for two full days rather than an afternoon, which lets couples bring their own style, team and vision. Two ceremony spots: the historic Moreton Bay Fig Tree, a grand natural canopy steeped in history, or the Croquet Lawn ringed by heritage buildings and vineyards — each set with twenty white folding chairs, a clothed signing table and a complimentary wet-weather backup. Guests then take drinks and canapés on the Main Lawn overlooking the historic buildings while the couple photographs across the estate, before the Crow’s Nest Function Room carries the reception: open-plan, with a historic open fireplace and lounge setting, seating 150 with a dance floor or 200 without. It is a venue-hire-only property, so couples choose their own caterer, though licensing means all alcohol is supplied and served by the estate’s RSA-qualified staff.
Couples who want two days on a heritage estate and full control over who cooks.
