About

Overview & Vibe

Biophilia Blooms is a boutique wedding and event floral studio in Darlinghurst, run by Josie Marc with more than seven years behind it. It splits its work three ways - weddings, event and brand styling, and an everyday delivery range - and the wedding side is the largest, with dozens of real weddings published in full. Its own line for what it does: not pretty arrangements, but visual storytelling.

Style & Signature Blooms

Modern romance and refined design, running from timeless ceremony installations to sculptural tablescapes. The published weddings swing wide - olive and gold tables with fruit among the candles, scarlet anthurium and amaranthus, apricot dahlias on tulle, dried grasses down a marquee table - which is the point: each is designed to the couple rather than to a house look. It works with what is genuinely in season, and publishes a guide fine enough to tell you the difference between early and late June.

Ideal For

Couples who want to see the numbers before they enquire. The studio publishes a wedding guide built around four worked budget levels - $4,500, $6,000, $8,000 and $12,000 - showing how each could be spread across bouquets, ceremony features and reception arrangements, explicitly as examples rather than packages. It also suits couples who want one supplier for more than flowers: the hire collection and the stationery, down to place cards and bar signage, come from the same studio.

The Need-to-Knows

There is no minimum spend and no rate card; every wedding is quoted. Read the guide before filling in the enquiry form - the studio asks you to, and it makes the form faster. You will hear back within 48 hours confirming whether the date is free, then get either an initial quote or a 15-minute discovery call. Guide prices exclude GST. Events other than weddings go through a separate enquiry route.

Standout Feature

The hire list is priced item by item and published in the open - a timber triangle arch at $200, white garden urns at $50, a copper sign stand at $75, ceramic bud vases at $3.50 and tea light votives at a dollar. Most florists fold props into a quote. Here a couple can cost the candles on sixteen tables before they have spoken to anyone.

Appointment Policy

  • Weddings start with the studio's enquiry form, and it recommends reading its wedding guide first so you know what is possible at your budget.
  • You will hear back within 48 hours with confirmation of availability for your date.
  • From there you get either an initial quote or an invitation to a 15-minute discovery call, depending on how much detail you gave.
  • The guide itself sets out how the studio quotes, the booking process and its answers to the questions couples ask most.
  • For anything other than a wedding there is a separate event enquiry route.

Areas Serviced

  • Sydney - the studio works from Darlinghurst and covers the city for weddings and events.
  • Southern Highlands - named by the studio as a region it works across.
  • Blue Mountains - named by the studio as a region it works across.
  • Hunter Valley - named by the studio as a region it works across.
  • Destination weddings are taken selectively beyond those regions.
  • For everyday flower delivery rather than a wedding, the studio covers Sydney generally and charges a flat local rate to Potts Point, Elizabeth Bay, Darlinghurst, Point Piper, Double Bay and Surry Hills.

Delivery & Setup

  • Wedding florals are delivered, installed and styled by the studio team; a quote is built around your venue and its bump-in.
  • Hire pieces are secured by email rather than bought through the site.
  • For everyday flower delivery the studio runs Monday to Saturday Sydney-wide, with a flat $17.50 rate to Potts Point, Elizabeth Bay, Darlinghurst, Point Piper, Double Bay and Surry Hills.
  • Everyday orders go out next day at the earliest; a Sunday delivery has to be ordered by 9pm the preceding Friday, and same-day is only ever by phone arrangement.
  • Delivery charges sit outside the listed price of an everyday arrangement.
