Lime Tree Bower started in Helen’s apartment, moved to a warehouse, and is now a shop and studio on Sailors Bay Road in Northbridge with a team behind it. Since 2014 it has flowered more than 530 weddings, and it is one of the few Sydney studios that will tell you its floor before you enquire. The wedding book is open for 2026 and 2027.
Modern and texture-rich - the studio’s own description of the look is plucked from the garden, and it gets there by mixing rather than choosing: native blooms beside seasonal and premium ones in the same design. Expect waratah, kangaroo paw, banksia, flannel flower and wattle sitting with dahlias, ranunculus, peonies, anemones and garden roses, depending on the month you marry in.
Two quite different couples. If you are planning a full-service wedding with ceremony and reception installations, this is a studio that builds ceiling features, freestanding structures, doorway and pole work, and cultural ceremony pieces including chuppahs, mandaps and Asian tea ceremonies. If you are eloping or marrying at a registry, there is a separate, smaller service for bouquets, buttonholes, crowns and a single feature - no minimum attached.
Full-service weddings start at $6,000, and the studio publishes that openly rather than leaving you to discover it in a quote. The process runs enquiry, then a tailored range estimate, then a detailed proposal with itemised pricing and venue-specific logistics; a deposit secures the date. They coordinate bump-in and bump-out with your venue and handle delivery, installation and pack-down. Everyday shop hours are short - 9am to 2pm, Monday to Saturday.
The seasonal guide. The studio publishes a month-by-month table of what is actually available in Sydney across all four seasons, plus a native flower table with best seasons for waratah, kangaroo paw, banksia, flannel flower and wattle. It is the most useful thing a florist can give a couple choosing a date, and it is free to read.
