Bread Boutique has been on Smith Street in Darwin City since 2010, and it is an occasionwear shop first — its own words are “Darwin’s home for designer occasionwear”, dressing the Territory for balls, race days, weddings and formals. Owner Jeanette Samaha spent a decade designing in London and Paris and then led a label in Sydney before opening here.

Dress Styles & Designers

Ten Australian and international labels — Nicoletta, Jadore, Elliatt, Acler, Sabina Musayev, Zhivago, Tina Holly and Once Was. The bridal collection runs to 67 gowns, mostly Nicoletta and Tina Holly, in satin, mikado, chantilly lace, beading and tulle. Be aware that it is a colour-led range — most gowns come in shades as well as white and ivory, so say up front that you are shopping for a wedding.

Ideal For

A Territory bride who does not want to fly south, and anyone dressing a whole wedding party rather than only the bride — the same racks cover mothers, bridesmaids and guests. Most pieces are the only one of their kind in Darwin.
