Wedding Stationers · Brisbane, Queensland · By appointment
Post Road Studio is a Brisbane wedding stationery studio run by its designer, who handles the whole job from first conversation to delivery. The look is pared back and deliberate — clean lines, generous white space, refined type — and the studio describes its own aim as stationery that feels considered and personal rather than trend-led. It works across the whole day, so the invitation, the welcome sign, the seating chart and the table numbers are drawn as one set.
Invitations come two ways: digitally printed on cardstock, or letterpress, individually pressed on antique presses so the design is physically impressed into thick stock. Custom shapes cost no extra on any printed piece. Signage is printed on PVC foamboard, acrylic or mirror acrylic, and the studio also offers white ink, diecuts and 3D lettering. Beyond paper there are fabric menu folios with aluminium screw bindings and personalised tennis balls in natural rubber.
Couples who want one person holding the whole stationery suite together, and who like seeing the numbers before they enquire — each piece carries a published price and its own minimum. It suits couples outside Brisbane too, since signage ships Australia-wide, and couples marrying locally who would rather have help on the day: the studio can arrange collection, delivery, or set the pieces up at the venue itself.
Reach out six to nine months ahead for invitations and at least three months ahead for signage. Allow roughly three to six weeks from design to delivery. A 50% deposit and a signed agreement secure your date, deposits are not refundable, and the balance is due before printing starts. Two rounds of changes are included; beyond that the studio charges $45 an hour. Minimums differ by piece — 25 invitations, 50 for letterpress, 20 tennis balls, three menu folios. Give the final guest list six to eight weeks out, because a seating chart reprinted after approval carries a fee.
The signage range is costed in a way that is unusually easy to plan against. A welcome sign and a seating chart are each quoted at two sizes and three materials, so you can see exactly what moving from foamboard to mirror acrylic, or from A1 to A0, adds — and the studio hires out the stands to display them on, or will point you to someone local who does.
