Romeo and Juliets Bridal and Formalwear is a Mulgrave Road shop that dresses an entire wedding party under one roof — bride, bridesmaids, flower girls, mothers, debutantes and the men. It carries twenty-two labels, adds new stock weekly, and runs a standing sale rack. If you are marrying in Far North Queensland and would rather not fly to Brisbane, this is the deepest range in Cairns.
Dress Styles & Designers
Fifteen bridal labels, including Madi Lane, Evie Young, Sophia Tolli, Martin Thornburg, Justin Alexander, Lillian West, Sincerity and Tania Olsen. Evening and bridesmaid gowns come from Nicoletta, Bariano, Moir, Crux and Miss Anne. Gowns run from fitted lace and satin through to full tulle skirts with trains.
Ideal For
A bride who wants the whole party fitted in one place, and one marrying in the tropics who would rather see gowns in person than order them sight unseen. It is also the shop for a debutante: deb gowns can be altered as part of the order — straps or a sleeve added, see-through sections blocked in, a slit joined, a shawl added.

Open Monday to Friday 10.30am to 4.30pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm. Prices are not published — ask in store. Bridesmaid colour swatches have to be seen in person, so allow time for that. Much of the debutante and evening range is ordered in rather than taken off the rack, so start early.

It is the local agent for Spurling and Ferrari menswear, for hire and for sale. The groom is measured in the shop, and for a party spread across the north there are measurement charts for out-of-town groomsmen. Suits come up from Melbourne, and a late order can be air freighted.
