Overview & Vibe

A purpose-built, family-owned wedding venue on Bald Knob Road above Maleny, built from scratch by Tom and Ngaire after years of travelling Europe. The result is a Mediterranean-inspired village in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland — white-rendered chapel, stone ruin, glass-roofed atrium and cottages, all on acres of rolling hills.

Setting & Style

Four distinct spaces sit within a few minutes’ walk of one another. The Chapel is fully enclosed and European-style, with timber pews for 40 and windows on every wall. The Ruin is a stone courtyard with arches framing the northern hinterland and a built-in brick fireplace. The Atrium is a glass-roofed room that carries a ceremony, a cocktail hour or a long table. The Function Room seats the reception, with a silky oak bar, an indoor fireplace and an Italian slate snooker table.

Ideal For

Couples who want a whole property to themselves for three days rather than a room for five hours — and who like the idea of family and the wedding party sleeping on site and walking to the ceremony.

The Need-to-Knows

Pricing is by package, not per head. Three-day weddings start at $18,000 midweek / $20,000 weekend for up to 90 guests including all on-site accommodation; one-day weddings start at $12,000 midweek / $14,000 weekend without accommodation.
Small weddings are priced separately — a two-hour elopement from $2,500 (max 10), a mini ceremony from $3,000 (max 25), a ceremony-only weekday hire from $4,500.
Catering is brought in. The venue provides a commercial kitchen with fridges and freezers for caterers, not a kitchen brigade.
On-site beds for 16 — three cottages and four studios, one of them designed for disability access.

Price Notes

'3 Day Wedding Packages. 2026 PRICES & OVERVIEW. Weekend (Friday/Saturday event) - From $20,000. Mid-week (Wednesday event) - From $18,000. For up to 90 guests and includes all onsite accommodation (16 people).'
The one-day wedding package starts at $14,000 for a Friday or Saturday and $12,000 midweek, on a Tuesday or Wednesday, at 2026 prices.
Small-wedding pricing is separate and capped. 'Part Day Venue Hire. 2026 PRICES & OVERVIEW. Ceremony Only : Weekdays (other days depending on availability) - From $4,500. Mini Ceremony Only: 2 hour Venue Hire- from $3,000 *Maximum attendees 25. Elopements: 2 hour Venue Hire- from $2,500 *Maximum attendees 10.'
Two named dining products sit between the elopement and the full wedding. 'The Mediterranean Affair. The Lazy Long Table- wedding or any celebration- $7,500. Part Day Hire - up to 60 guests.' And 'A Group Liaison. Dine in the Chapel or at the Ruin : Part Day Hire, up to 30 guests - From $5,000.'
Non-wedding hire is priced too: 'Events and Functions. Minimum 2 hour venue hire : From $2,500. From 10 people (dependant on location chosen) - Price dependant on numbers and time onsite.'

Catering is external and the venue supplies the kitchen rather than the food: "Commercial kitchen for final meal prep and plating, with fridges and freezers for caterers to use for the duration of the event."
