Wedding Photographers · Adelaide, South Australia
Matt Walker has thirty years behind a camera and fifteen as a photography teacher, and he has shot more than fifty weddings between Clare and Adelaide. The published work is unusually candid for a photographer of his vintage — party shots, guests mid-laugh, a groom yelling with delight on a staircase — and he says outright that party shots are his speciality. He studied under Professor Les Krims in the United States and spent five months working for the Cambodia Daily.
Candid and unstaged. His own words are that he captures the fun of the event as naturally as possible, without contrived images, and a client puts it more plainly still: he was non-invasive and captured moments when they were happening rather than manufacturing shots. He does shoot the formal groups too, with studio lighting when the setup calls for it.
Couples marrying in the Clare Valley or between Clare and Adelaide who want the reception covered as thoroughly as the ceremony. His gallery is full of Clare Valley venues — Sevenhill Church, Pikes Winery, Bungaree Station, Hillsview Estate at Auburn, the Clare Country Club — so he arrives already knowing the rooms and the light.
Three tiers, customisable. The largest brings Matt plus an assistant from the start of preparation through to the end of the reception with a second shooter during the ceremony; the middle covers roughly five to six hours; the smallest three to four. All of them include unlimited high-resolution files on a USB posted within a fortnight, and a shareable web gallery of the best images within about five days. A deposit secures the date.
Every tier includes prints as part of the package rather than as an upsell — up to A2, with the count scaling by tier. Almost no photographer in this campaign puts finished prints in the base offer.
