A family-owned Bendigo showroom on Hargreaves Street that has been dressing brides and debutantes since 1991 and whose lineage runs further back than that, having begun as part of “the iconic 1950s store McCalmans” before going out on its own. Today’s owner, Bron McQueen, started there as the store seamstress, worked alongside founder Dot Lee until Dot’s retirement in 2012, and has run it since. The site calls itself “Central Victoria’s House of Stunning and Affordable Gowns”, and the tone throughout is a shop that knows its town.
