Wedding Florists · Bendigo, Victoria
Ali Troup’s studio at The Mill in Castlemaine, established in 2021 after more than twenty years in floristry across Melbourne, London and Central Victoria. Designs are described as intentional, intuitive, organic and unique, and the ethical part of the name is a working method rather than a slogan.
Seasonal and locally grown, with imported flowers avoided and interstate stems limited. Dried work is naturally dried in-house, and chemically treated, bleached or synthetically dyed flowers are excluded outright. A month-by-month gallery shows what a Handpicked bouquet actually looks like in each part of the year.
Couples marrying across Central Victoria and beyond who want either a fully planned wedding or a simple, priced order. The studio explicitly welcomes LGBTQIA+ and disabled couples, and its work runs from a hilltop chapel aisle to a woolshed reception.
There are two tiers, and the difference is stated plainly. The a la carte menu is collected from Castlemaine or delivered, with no onsite setup, and its designs are limited to those that travel and install easily. The personalised service adds consultation, planning and a florist on site who can adapt to the weather.
The gap between the two tiers is published as a number: the personalised service runs about 20 per cent above the a la carte menu, and is suggested for flower budgets over $3,000. Very few florists quantify the premium between their own service levels.
