Wedding Florists · Bendigo, Victoria
Magnolia Blooms is a Bendigo wedding florist run by Jen, a qualified florist who served a four-year apprenticeship and has spent a long career in flowers. The studio sits on Pall Mall in the middle of town, inside Poppys Bridal Couture, which is Jen’s other business — so a couple can look at gowns and talk through flowers in the same visit. The tone is warm and unhurried: soft, romantic florals designed so they look like they belong to you rather than to a catalogue.
Soft and romantic at heart, with room to go modern and minimal or warm and textural depending on what you are after. Seasonal blooms are the starting point wherever possible, arranged with flowing foliage. Alongside the fresh work the studio has real depth in dried and preserved flowers — Australian natives, dyed banksias, tea tree, hydrangea, ming fern, pampas, bunny tails and ruscus — which travel well and last long after the day.
Couples marrying in and around Bendigo who want a florist with a shopfront they can walk into, and a clear idea of what they will spend before the first conversation. There are three published shapes — collect it yourself, have it delivered, or have the whole day styled and set up — so a smaller wedding and a fully dressed one both have a starting number.
Wedding packages start at $2,000 for pick up, $3,500 delivered, and $5,000 for the full-service option that covers ceremony and reception set up, cake flowers and travel to local venues. Packages are built on seasonal blooms, minimum quantities apply, and extras are charged on top. If none of the three shapes fits, send a wish list and the studio will quote the individual pieces. Everyday deliveries run across Greater Bendigo for $15 and the outer district for $45.
The full-service package includes something most florists do not offer — progress photographs of your flowers sent through the day before the wedding, so you see the blooms before you see them in your hands.
