Wedding Photographers · Great Ocean Road / Lorne, Victoria
Paul Benjamin has photographed weddings out of Warrnambool for fifteen years, from an office on Koroit Street. His patch runs from the Shipwreck Coast through the Otways to Colac, and his published weddings read like a tour of it — the Botanic Gardens, Quamby Homestead, St Brigid’s at Koroit, the Otways redwoods, the beach at Port Campbell. He shoots events and portraits too, but weddings are the centre of it.
He covers a wedding in the least intrusive way he can, which he describes as being someone you are comfortable sharing the whole day with. Things happen when they are meant to and he is there to catch them rather than to arrange them. He shoots alone about ninety-nine per cent of the time, and says so plainly — a second photographer is something you add when the day genuinely needs two sets of eyes.
Couples marrying anywhere across south west Victoria who want one experienced pair of hands for the whole day without watching the clock. The range runs from a three-hour elopement to all-day coverage with no time limit, so it suits an intimate ceremony in the redwoods as readily as a full church-and-reception day in town.
The base collection is $3,000 and covers the whole day from getting ready to the end of the dancing, with no time limits, all your high resolution images delivered without watermarks or restrictions, and an engagement session included. Elopements are $1,200 for three hours. Add-on tiers run $1,250, $2,200 and $3,000 and cover albums, a second photographer and print credit. Your finished gallery arrives no more than six weeks after the wedding, and often sooner.
He publishes a detailed guide to Warrnambool wedding venues, broken into getting ready, ceremony and reception, with a companion guide for the Western District and another for the Great Ocean Road. After a decade shooting at most of them he writes about what each one is actually like to use — which makes him useful to a couple well before anyone books a photographer.
