Melissa Mounsey and her husband bought a small farm at Moorngag in north-east Victoria in 2022, started with nine raised garden beds, and now grow an acre of cut flowers in open fields. The old horse stables are the studio. She had owned a retail flower shop for years before this, so the floristry is long-practised even though the farm is recent — and she is in the garden every morning harvesting, planting and weeding.
