Christine Lim has photographed weddings from Perth for fifteen years, having lived in the city for twenty. She grew up on Borneo and still travels constantly, and her pictures carry that unhurried, observational quality — she is interested in what actually happened on the day rather than in arranging it.

She describes her work as natural, warm and romantic, made with natural light and a photojournalistic approach that intrudes as little as possible. In her own words, the only way to photograph a wedding is as it is — raw and real and uninterrupted — and what she is chasing is the feeling of a day rather than a list of set-ups.
