Fox & Wildling is Sally Casotti, a natural-light photographer working out of Aveley in Perth’s north-east and covering weddings across the metropolitan area. She came to the work through motherhood, and says so plainly: the detail that seems minor on the day is the thing that triggers the memory years later, so that is what she watches for. Five wedding collections are published openly, from a short ceremony booking up to a full day with two photographers.
She describes herself as a natural light photographer and works that way throughout, using available light to bring out the character of whoever is in front of her rather than lighting a scene into shape. The stated philosophy is to help a couple stay in the moment and to catch what happens inside it, which shows in the galleries as a mix of quiet detail, unforced portraits and the ordinary business of a day unfolding.
Couples who want the price list before the conversation, and who want to pick coverage by the hour rather than take a single package. The ladder runs from a two and a half hour booking suited to a small ceremony through four, six and eight hour options, up to ten hours with a second photographer. Every collection carries a print credit, so couples who want something on the wall start with a balance already in hand.
Wedding collections run from $2,199 to $7,499, all inclusive of GST. Sneak peek images arrive within 72 hours of the day, and every collection includes a personalised online gallery of high-resolution images, all personally edited, plus a memory stick of the full set and a phone consultation beforehand. Print credits run from $100 to $500 by collection. Travel inside a 40 kilometre radius of Aveley is included; beyond that a fee is discussed before booking.
The top collection is unusually complete: ten hours with two photographers, a twelve inch custom-designed wedding album, a six inch parent album alongside it, a keepsake box of assorted prints, the full gallery on a memory stick and a $500 print credit. She also publishes a golden hour timeline planner, so a couple can check where the good light falls on their own date before choosing coverage at all.
