Pete is a Perth wedding photographer who has shot more than three hundred weddings, and he works like a guest rather than a supplier. He was a landscaper for six years before a mate asked him to photograph a wedding, and he has been doing it ever since.

Style & Approach

His own words: a very documentary style, unobtrusive and photojournalistic, with an obsession with the in-between moments and a passion for the perfect-imperfect. He does not work to a shot list and does not put couples in posed positions — he says he thrives in spontaneity, reacting to a moment rather than trying to control it. Film is central: he shoots 35mm and medium format alongside digital, and one collection is shot almost entirely on film.
