Held Studio is a Blue Mountains wedding photographer working across New South Wales, from Katoomba and the Megalong Valley down to Sydney. She came to weddings from years of brand and advertising work, and says the appeal is the creative freedom that commercial shoots rarely allow.
Candid and story-driven rather than posed. In her own words she photographs weddings as they feel, capturing real moments instead of stage-managing a checklist of shots — a bridesmaid wrangling a runaway veil, laughter cutting through a speech, a gust of wind scattering decorations across a field. She does direct couple portraits, but the rest is left to happen.
Couples marrying anywhere in the Blue Mountains or greater Sydney who want the day recorded as it actually unfolds. The three-hour package is built for elopements and micro weddings, so it suits a small ceremony just as well as a full day with a hundred guests.
Three packages, all published with prices: $4,700 for ten hours, $3,600 for seven, and $1,700 for three. Every package includes pre-wedding consultations, travel within 150 kilometres, and a curated digital gallery delivered promptly — typically within a month. Engagement sessions, second shooters and extra hours are add-ons, and a custom plan is offered if none of the three fits.
The pricing is genuinely plain — her own promise is no hidden fees and no surprises, with the hours, inclusions and figures all on one page. For a category where most photographers gate their rates behind an enquiry form, that is worth something before you even look at the galleries.
