Rachel Gutierrez Photography is a Sydney wedding and elopement photographer who has spent more than a thousand weddings learning how to stay out of the way. She works solo for most couples, which keeps the day quiet and unhurried, and she is as comfortable in a city laneway as she is on a clifftop in the Blue Mountains.
The work is natural and candid, built on connection rather than direction. There is no stiff posing; couples are given enough guidance to feel steady and then left to enjoy themselves, which is where the unguarded moments come from. Ninety per cent of her bookings arrive by word of mouth.

Her standard-rate area covers Southern Sydney, Sydney, the Blue Mountains, the Central Coast, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, with a small travel contribution beyond that. A five hundred dollar deposit and a signed contract secure a date, and a second photographer can be added at one hundred dollars an hour.
An engagement session is offered to every couple as a low-pressure rehearsal, so the wedding day is not the first time they have been photographed together.
