About

Overview & Vibe

Blume Haus is two people — the studio describes itself as “The Florist & The Farmer”: a florist with a decade of craft and a flower farmer “with dirt under her nails and sweet peas in her soul”. It runs bespoke wedding florals out of a Market Street studio in Mudgee, alongside an eight-week flower school and public workshops.

Style & Signature Blooms

Its own word for the style is narrative-driven — the concept is built from the couple’s story rather than from a look book. In practice the work is colour-confident and architectural: hanging installations over long tables, plinth arrangements flanking a vineyard aisle, ladder chandeliers dripping amaranthus. Seasonal and locally grown blooms are prioritised, with trusted growers behind them.

Ideal For

A couple who wants the whole visual job handled and would rather be told the rules up front. It offers full-service design with a dedicated team and a single point of contact, coordination with your venue and other vendors, and day-of management. It is also the right call if a big installation is the point — arches and hanging structures are core work, not an add-on.

The Need-to-Knows

A $200 deposit secures your date, and booking fees are non-refundable. Cancel more than 60 days out and you forfeit the booking fee; inside 60 days up to the full quote may be payable because materials are already ordered. Delivery and pack-down are quoted separately on location, access and timing. Booking also means no other florist, family member or friend supplies florals for the day. There are no fixed packages — a consultation leads to a proposal with options at different levels.

Standout Feature

It publishes its hire terms, which almost nobody does. Vases, arbours, frames and structures are hired rather than sold, stay the studio’s property, are collected at a pre-arranged time, and breakages are charged at replacement cost. Knowing all of that before the quote arrives is rarer, and more useful, than another set of pretty photographs.

Appointment Policy

  • Enquiries start with a wedding form covering your date, venue and the look you are drawn to.
  • The consultation happens over coffee and cake, with shared mood boards.
  • Book once you have a date and venue - the studio says the sooner the better and can hold a date for a limited time.
  • A $200 deposit secures the date.
  • Booking means no other florist, family member or friend supplies or displays florals at the wedding.
  • Substitutions for out-of-season blooms are agreed with you in advance, and a plan B is discussed at consultation.

Areas Serviced

  • Mudgee - the studio is on Market Street in the centre of town.
  • Mudgee wine region venues - vineyard and marquee weddings make up most of the published work.
  • Venues generally - the studio coordinates directly with your venue on access and bump-in times.

Delivery & Setup

  • On-site setup covers both the ceremony and the reception, with day-of management so the run sheet holds.
  • Delivery is quoted separately, based on location, access and timing.
  • Pack-down is also quoted separately on the same basis.
  • Installations such as arches and hanging designs need the venue's approval, and you are asked to pass on the venue's access and bump-in and bump-out times.
  • Once the florals are delivered or installed, responsibility for them passes to you.
  • Hire pieces are collected at a time arranged in advance.
