Mr.Wigley is a Sydney photo and video team whose whole pitch is that a wedding should feel like a party rather than a photoshoot. The portfolio backs it: a couple on a carousel, a groom on a giant red chair, confetti at close range, a bride and groom in fox masks, Luna Park lit up at night. They shoot a lot of Sydney harbour and beach weddings, and they are a proudly LGBTIQA+ vendor with a large body of same-sex wedding work.

Couples who say they are awkward in front of a camera — the team reckons about nine in ten of theirs do — and who would rather be at their own party than posing in a paddock. The hour-based ladder suits both a short city ceremony and a full ten-hour day, and photo and video can be booked together from one team. Dogs are explicitly welcome.

The Need-to-Knows

Photography runs $2,500 for one to three hours, $3,000 for a five-hour half day, $3,800 for eight hours and $4,500 for a full ten. Video is priced identically, and the two together are $5,000, $6,000 or $7,500. Extra time is $250 per half hour and a second shooter $170 an hour. A $500 deposit per service holds the date with the balance due the week of the wedding, and photographs arrive within five weeks after a sneak peek in the first few days.

The whole rate card is on one page with no gate and no enquiry form in the way — three ladders, the extra-hour rate, the second-shooter rate and the travel fee, all costed. Albums & Prints

Sixty Page Album — $1,199. Square, thirty centimetres, fitting approximately eighty images, custom designed and lay-flat on premium photographic paper, with the couple's own choice of cover image. Additional pages are $25 each.
