Pearl Bridal is an appointment-only studio on Level 3 at Varsity Lakes — upstairs and private rather than a street-front shop. Every bride gets an hour of exclusive one-on-one styling with bubbles on arrival, and only one bride is in the studio at a time. It is the most decorated boutique in the campaign: Australia's Best Bridal Boutique at the 2023 Australian Wedding Awards, Gold Coast's Best Bridal 2022, and both the Brides Choice Award and the ABIA Bridal Boutique award in 2021.

Dress Styles & Designers

Fifteen labels, weighted towards Europe and New Zealand rather than the usual American houses: Oksana Mukha and Giovanna Alessandro from Europe, Atelier Wu and Jessica Couture from New Zealand, plus Jenny Yoo, Champery Couture, The Ivory Collection, Arina Galagan, Tina Valerdi, Olya Mak and La Premiere Couture. Australian labels Zavana Bridal, White April and Rachel Rose fill out the range, and Tania Olsen covers bridesmaids. The catalogue runs from traditional ball gowns to modern mermaid silhouettes, in soft crepe, delicate lace and heavy beadwork.

Ideal For

Two quite different brides. The one who wants a designer gown she will not see in every Gold Coast boutique, at $3,500–$6,500 with eight to ten months to spare. And the one shopping Pre-Loved by Pearl Bridal — the Gold Coast's only wedding-dress consignment store — where gowns are on the rack now, in a real size, from $300.

The Need-to-Knows

Alterations are not offered here. The studio is explicit about it and refers brides to seamstresses it works with, billed separately — budget for that on top. Gowns are made to order, not made to measure: your measurements decide which standard size is ordered, not how the gown is cut. Ordering takes 8–10 months, with a rush service inside six months for a small fee. 50% deposit, strictly non-refundable, balance on collection, instalments available. Gowns must be collected within four weeks of arriving or storage fees apply. Up to four guests; photographs only with approval, though the studio will FaceTime whoever could not come.

Standout Feature

Pre-Loved by Pearl Bridal — a consignment store inside a boutique, and the only one on the Gold Coast. Around fifteen hand-selected gowns at any time, dry-cleaned, proof of purchase required, available for immediate purchase in the size they are. Forty-eight are currently published with prices, running $300 to $4,200 with a median of $1,195 — a designer gown at a third of the price for a bride whose date is close.

Appointment Policy

The showroom is open by appointment only.
Trading hours are Monday to Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 9am-4pm; Sunday is closed, available by request only.
Each bride has a one-hour complimentary appointment with a Pearl Bridal stylist; it cannot be extended on a Saturday or when the day is booked out.
Walk-ins are discouraged - the studio asks brides to book in advance so a stylist and fitting room are available, and to phone 0451 699 877 for last-minute appointments.
Up to four guests may attend, with advance notice required for more.
Photographs are discouraged at the designers' request, but are allowed with the studio's approval; brides are welcome to FaceTime family or friends who could not attend.
Pre-Loved consignment gowns are viewed by private appointment in the same studio.

Dress Experience

Each bride has a one-hour complimentary appointment with a stylist, one-on-one in a private studio, with bubbles offered on arrival and up to four guests. It was named Australia's Best Bridal Boutique in the 2023 Australian Wedding Awards, Gold Coast's Best Bridal in 2022, and won both the Brides Choice Award and the ABIA award for Bridal Boutique in 2021. The range is drawn from European, New Zealand and Australian designers rather than the American houses common elsewhere, running from traditional ball gowns to modern mermaid silhouettes in soft crepe, delicate lace and intricate beadwork. Gowns are made to order rather than made to measure: the studio takes measurements in-store and orders the closest standard size, and it does not offer alterations itself, instead recommending seamstresses it works with. Alongside the main collection it runs Pre-Loved by Pearl Bridal, which it describes as the Gold Coast's only wedding-dress consignment store, carrying around fifteen hand-selected gowns at a time for immediate purchase.

Price Notes

A 50% deposit is required to place an order, with the balance due at or before the pick-up appointment; all deposits are strictly non-refundable.
Instalment payments are available after the 50% deposit; the balance is not due until the gown arrives in the studio.
Ordering takes on average 8-10 months, which may not include shipping; the studio will estimate a delivery date but cannot guarantee one until the designer ships.
All designers offer a rush service for orders placed within six months of the wedding date, for a small fee.
Ordering a split size, where the designer offers it, carries a small fee.
Alterations are not offered by Pearl Bridal. It recommends independent seamstresses, and those charges are between the bride and the seamstress.
Gowns must be collected within four weeks of arriving in the studio; storage fees apply after that.
Pre-Loved consignment runs on a three-month exclusive contract; gowns must be dry cleaned, in excellent condition, and accompanied by an original receipt or proof of purchase.
