Glitzy Prints is a wedding invitation studio at Currumbin Waters on the Gold Coast, where the designs are drawn and the invitations are printed in the same place. It is a one-person studio and you work directly with the designer. The range runs from invitation suites with matching RSVP and wishing well cards through to the pieces for the day itself — place cards, menus, welcome signs, seating charts and acrylic wishing wells — and the same designs are made up for birthdays and christenings too.

Style & Printing

The studio specialises in die-cut shapes and foil, in gold, silver or rose gold, on original designs of its own. Invitations can be cut as an arch, a wave, an oval or a circle, and there are pocket invitations and vellum layers as well. Card stock varies by design: 250gsm pearlescent on the Emily suite, 180gsm vellum, 300gsm linen-finish white, and 350gsm. Envelope liners, pearlescent envelopes and envelope addressing can be added. Styles run from ultra modern through rustic and boho to gold foil, including watercolour florals.

Ideal For

Couples who want to see and feel the card before committing. Samples come in two forms — a single invitation on the pearlescent stock with its envelope, or the full set with the RSVP and wishing well cards — and envelope liners and pearlescent envelopes are included free in a sample even though they cost extra on a real order. Samples are not personalised, so what arrives is a generic version of the design. It also suits anyone ordering from outside Australia, since the studio ships worldwide.

Invitations are priced per piece, from $3.95. Welcome signs are $170 to sit on your own easel, or $195 freestanding with struts.
