Bay Flowers and Gifts
Bay Flowers and Gifts has been on the Fraser Coast since 1995, working from the Fraser Shores complex on Boat Harbour Drive at Pialba.
Hey Posy is a florist and espresso bar on the corner of Ann and Fort Streets in Maryborough, working weddings right across the Fraser Coast. Its wedding gallery is unusually complete: thirty-three weddings written up one by one, each crediting the photographer, the ceremony and reception venues and the other suppliers on the day. The house style is stated plainly - lush, full, and in love with love.
The work runs from garden-romantic to modern colourful luxe. One wedding is described as a lush, garden-romantic palette of soft whites, blush tones and trailing greenery; another as an all-white brief answered with soft, fluffy blooms in generous abundance. Big white roses carry an all-rose bouquet; clouds of baby’s breath become flower pillars framing a beachfront ceremony. King protea, magnolia leaf, eucalyptus, delphinium and pampas all take turns as the lead. Dried and preserved work sits alongside fresh, with its own enquiry route.
Couples on the Fraser Coast who want to see a wedding like theirs before they enquire. The gallery covers beachfront ceremonies, botanic gardens, barns, jetties, private properties and function rooms, and the palettes swing from all-white to a fuchsia petal aisle. The team is used to working with planners, stylists and hire companies, so it fits a coordinated wedding as easily as a small one.
Fresh and dried wedding work are enquired about through separate forms, and florals are quoted after the enquiry. Two wearable pieces are priced openly: an everlasting corsage at $60 and a corsage and buttonhole set at $80. The shop opens Monday 6am to 1pm, Tuesday to Friday 6am to 4pm and Saturday 7am to 1pm, closed Sunday, with the espresso bar running all day. Texts to the mobile are welcome, and shop deliveries run around Maryborough Monday to Saturday.
Ceremony florals are designed from the outset to be moved and used twice. On one wedding the installation was built for versatility, then transformed at the reception into a photo backdrop and statement arrangements along the bar - two showstopping moments from one spend. For couples weighing what a ceremony installation is worth, that is the difference between flowers seen for twenty minutes and flowers that carry the whole day.
