Wedding Photographers · Toowoomba / Darling Downs, Queensland · By appointment
The Finches are Paul and Bec, a husband-and-wife team who photograph weddings together from Toowoomba. They have been photographing for other people since 2013, and both of them are there on the day — every coverage option includes the pair of them, not a lead plus an assistant. Their own description of the feeling they are after is simple: feel relaxed and confident as we capture your real moments.
They shoot documentary style, capturing the day as it unfolds, and describe their aim as being unobtrusive while still directing when it is needed. In their words, our highest priority is that you are able to be present in each moment leaving us to capture the memories you will enjoy for a lifetime. They are candid that a camera can feel daunting, and say the more relaxed people feel, the simpler it is to capture the natural photographs couples actually want.
Couples marrying around Toowoomba and the Darling Downs who want two photographers for the whole day and a record of the day itself rather than a heavily posed one. Their portfolio runs from homestead and chapel weddings to open paddocks, church steps and long-veil portraits in misty country, and they also travel regularly to Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.
Two coverage options are published: seven hours or ten hours, both with both photographers. A deposit secures the date, and the full inclusions and sample timeline are sent after an enquiry rather than published. They always aim to meet each couple before the wedding, over a video call or a coffee, and an engagement session is available as an optional extra. They photograph only — no video — but recommend videographers they know.
Both photographers are included in every option. Many two-person studios price a second shooter as an add-on; here the pair is the product, and the price they publish is for both of them.
