About

Overview & Vibe

A one-person bespoke stationery studio in Western Australia, posting Australia wide and taking most international orders. Wedding stationery is one of its two lines: the same studio also does brand and business design, on a longer timetable. Every suite is designed from scratch rather than picked off a shelf, and the studio’s own description of its look is modern, imperfect and minimal, built on script lettering, textured paper stocks and monochrome detail.

Style & Printing

Hand drawn script lettering is the signature, set against heavy textured stocks and restrained black and white detailing. The print range is set out in detail: foil press, letterpress, blind press, which is a pressure impression with no ink at all, embossing, digital print, white ink for dark stocks, and diecut shapes. A print and style guide on the site sets out the paper stocks, the foil and finish colours and the available shapes, and gives a lead time for most methods and an order minimum for several of them, so you can narrow your choice before you enquire.

Ideal For

Couples who want one designer on the whole suite and are happy to work by email, and couples drawn to specialty print rather than full colour. Because one person designs each suite individually, it suits a couple booking well ahead rather than one needing something next week. It is also a good fit if you want the invitation and the on the day pieces to come from the same hand.

The Need-to-Knows

Nothing is priced on the site: you send an enquiry with your quantity, the style you like and which cards you need, and the studio quotes. Allow three to eight weeks overall, of which the design phase is about two weeks, then one week for digital print, two for letterpress and four for foil or embossing. Minimum orders vary by method, twenty for foil press and embossing, fifty for blind press, and none for digital or white ink. A non-refundable fifty per cent is due before the first proof and the balance once you approve it. Postage is tracked, ten dollars regular or fifteen express, with oversized fees on signage larger than A4.

Standout Feature

The print and style guide. Rather than leaving you to imagine the difference between letterpress and a blind press, it shows the paper stocks, the foil and finish colours and the diecut shapes, and publishes the lead time for most methods and the order minimum for several, so you can narrow your choice before you send an email.

Appointment Policy

  • Enquiries are made through the form on the site, which asks for your quantity, the style of invitation you like and which cards you need, and the studio replies with a quote. Email is how the process normally runs, and a phone call can be arranged if either side thinks it is essential to the design. A print and style guide on the site is there to help you choose stocks and finishes first.

Areas Serviced

  • All services are available Australia wide.
  • Most services are available for International clients. Larger items such as rigid signage are supplied as artwork for the client to have printed locally.
  • The studio itself publishes its base only as Western Australia.

Booking & Deposit

  • A non-refundable fifty per cent of the quote before the first design proof, with the remaining fifty per cent due once you approve the proof.

Delivery & Postage

  • Orders go by tracked Australia Post, with sample packs sent as a letter. Regular post is ten dollars and express is fifteen, and a courier can be arranged on request. Regular post usually arrives three to eight business days after dispatch and express in two to three. Large orders and signage bigger than A4 attract oversized postage fees.

Minimum Order

  • The studio publishes a minimum order of twenty for foil press and for embossing, and fifty for blind press. Digital and white ink printing have no minimum. Letterpress and diecut shapes are quoted without a published minimum.

Nearby Landmarks

  • Perth CBD and Elizabeth Quay, the riverfront end of the city, where many of the larger reception venues are.
  • Kings Park and Botanic Garden, the escarpment park overlooking the city and a common ceremony setting.
  • Fremantle, the port city at the mouth of the Swan, with heritage halls and warehouse venues.
  • Swan Valley, the wine region on the city's north eastern edge, used for vineyard weddings.
  • Cottesloe Beach, one of the western beaches used for coastal ceremonies.

Price Notes

  • Nothing is priced on the site; the studio quotes each job from your quantity and the cards you need. What is published is the surrounding cost detail: postage at ten dollars regular or fifteen express, with higher costs on large orders and oversized fees on signage larger than A4; a non-refundable fifty per cent deposit before the first proof; proof revisions that are generally free, with the studio telling you before any revision fee would apply; and order minimums that depend on the print method rather than the order value.

Proofs & Revisions

  • A non-refundable fifty per cent deposit is taken before the first design proof is sent, with the balance due once you have approved it and the job is ready for print. Revisions to a proof are generally free and the studio tells you before any revision fee would apply. Once artwork is approved for print no further changes can be made. Sample packs of stocks, print techniques and colours are available on request.
